Why do you need a user verification and how to submit your details for it?

In order to ensure compliance with our policies and prevent illegal activities such as money laundering and credit card fraud, we may request evidence of where you are sharing your Buy Me a Coffee page. To start receiving your first payout, you will need to complete the verification process. This process only needs to be done once, and afterwards, your payouts will typically be processed on Wednesdays.

Why is the user verification necessary?

Our commitment is to protect our creators and minimize risks associated with chargeback fraud and other unauthorized activities. Your use case must be verified and align with our terms. We strongly recommend that all creators adhere to these guidelines for a secure and positive experience. Our dedicated moderation team will review the provided information and process your payout accordingly. Don’t worry if you’re not violating our TOS; your page will typically be approved in 48 to 72 hours.

Steps to submit your details

  1. Log in to your Buy Me a Coffee dashboard.

  2. Go to the "payout" tab, located in the settings section.

  3. Click on the "Submit Details" tab to provide the necessary documents for your payout.

Once you submit your details, our team will review and approve them. Please note that there might be a slight delay if you submit them on weekends. If we find the shared details to be insufficient, we will contact you.

What happens if I don't submit the proof?

If you don’t provide the requested proof within 90 days, your supporters will receive a refund of the collected funds, and your page will be deactivated.
