Refund Guidelines: How Buy Me a Coffee handles refunds

Thank you for supporting creators on Buy Me a Coffee! We appreciate your contributions and want to ensure a positive experience for both creators and supporters. Please read the following refund policy carefully:

Support Types

Buy Me a Coffee facilitates various forms of support, including one-time support, purchases from the Shop, booking a service, and monthly or yearly subscriptions.

Requesting a Refund

If you, as a supporter, feel dissatisfied with what a creator has delivered, you have the option to request a refund. It's essential to note that Buy Me a Coffee does not handle refunds on behalf of creators unless there is evidence of fraudulent transactions.

We recommend that supporters first contact the creator directly to discuss and request a refund, providing reasons for their request. The creator has the autonomy to decide whether to proceed with the refund. If the supporter is not satisfied with the creator's decision, they can contact our customer support. However, receiving a refund is not guaranteed, as each request will be individually reviewed.

Refunds are granted if the creator agrees to refund or if our investigation supports the supporter's claim. Once approved, refunds may take 5-7 business days to process.

Eligible Refund Scenarios

As a supporter, you can request a refund in the following scenarios:

  1. Duplicate payments (accidentally making the same payment twice).

  2. Non-delivery of promised content within the agreed timeframe.

  3. Dissatisfaction with a Shop item purchase.

  4. Unauthorized use of your card for a purchase.

Note: If the payment has already been transferred to the creator, we kindly request that you wait until they have sufficient funds in their account again before we can process a refund.

Reasons for Refund Denial

Your refund request may be denied for various reasons, including:

  1. Purchase of a digital item from the Shop.

  2. Cancellation of a membership subscription after the renewal date.

  3. Request for a refund on a support, as it is intended to support creators and are non-refundable.

  4. If the creator provides evidence of proper delivery of promised content.
