If You Choose Email:
You'll receive a 6-digit code in your linked email inbox.
Enter the code and click "Verify."
If You Choose an Authenticator App:
Download any authenticator app like the Google Authenticator app.
Scan the QR code or enter the code manually.
Once set up, you'll receive a 6-digit code in the authentication app. Enter the code and click "Verify."
Save the provided two-factor recovery code by downloading and keeping it in a secure place.
From this point forward, each time you sign in to your Buy Me a Coffee account, you'll be required to enter both your password and the authentication code for enhanced security.
Note:
Make sure you do not lose the recovery codes. Save them and keep them safe.
Steps to disable two-factor authentication
If you ever need to disable two-factor authentication on your Buy Me a Coffee account, follow these simple steps.
Log in to your Buy Me a Coffee account and go to "My Accounts" from the menu in the top right corner.
Scroll down and find the "Disable" button located at the bottom of the page and click on it.
Confirm your decision to disable 2FA by clicking on the "Remove" button.
A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your linked email. Enter the code in the provided space and click "Verify."
Now you've successfully disabled two-factor authentication on your Buy Me a Coffee account. Remember, if you ever decide to re-enable it, you can follow the setup process outlined earlier.
