Updated over a week ago

Categories are helpful for organizing various types of posts on your page, making it simpler for readers to navigate and search through your content. This article provides a clear explanation of how to add categories and make edits to them if needed.

Steps to add a category to a post

  1. Go to your account dashboard and click on "posts" to access the post editor.

  2. Create a new post by clicking on "write a post," or select an existing post to edit.

  3. In the post editor, find the Categories option. Below it, you'll see a "+new category" button.

  4. If you're adding a new category, click the button and enter the category title. Press "return" to add it. Repeat this process to add multiple categories.

Note: To assign a category that you've already created, you can choose it from the existing list instead of creating a new one.

  5. Review your post and the chosen categories. Once you're satisfied, you can publish it immediately, schedule it for a later time, or save it as a draft for future edits.

Once published, the post will be associated with the newly added category.

How to edit added categories?

You have the flexibility to edit or delete previously added categories for your posts. Just follow these steps:

  1. From your dashboard, navigate to the specific post you want to modify by selecting it from the published, drafted, or scheduled posts.

  2. Once you're in the post editor:

    • To add a new category, refer to the steps mentioned earlier.

    • To change the assigned category, uncheck the previous category and check the new one.

    • To delete a category, click on the edit button next to the category and choose the category you want to delete.
