How do I change my registered email address?

Your registered email address is the one you use to log into your Buy Me a Coffee account. To update it, follow the steps outlined below.

Steps to Change Your Email Address

  1. Sign in to Buy Me a Coffee using your current email and password.

  2. Once logged in, click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. From the dropdown menu, select 'My Account'.

  3. On the My Account page, click Edit Profile to access your profile settings.

  4. Click on the email field, delete the old email, and enter your new email address.

  5. After updating the email field, click the Save Changes button to confirm your new email.

  6. You’ll receive an OTP at your new email address. Enter the OTP to verify and proceed.

  7. After verifying the OTP, a notification email will be sent to your old email informing you that the email address has been updated.

  8. Once confirmed, your registered email address will be successfully updated.

How long does it take to receive the OTP after updating my email?

You should receive the OTP at your old email address shortly. If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder. If you still don’t receive it after some time, contact our support team for assistance.

Can I change my email address multiple times?

Yes, you can change your email address as often as needed. Follow the steps outlined above each time you want to update your registered email.

Temporary Restrictions After Changing Your Email

To enhance security, certain actions will be restricted for 24 hours after changing your email address. These include:

  • Password changes

  • Requesting payouts
