Buy Me a Coffee MCP lets you connect your account to AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude, so you can use your Buy Me a Coffee data in new ways. You can ask questions about your supporters, memberships, shop, posts, and more, or reply to recent supporter messages, all without having to switch between dashboards.
Your data and privacy:
MCP is completely optional. It’s an additional way for creators who want to use AI to get more out of their own Buy Me a Coffee data.
Your data stays yours: We don’t provide your Buy Me a Coffee data to AI platforms for training.
You choose what to connect: Your data is only shared with an AI tool when you choose to connect your account and give it permission.
Your account stays in your hands: MCP can only pull the information available through it. It cannot change your account, edit your content, or manage your settings.

Browse shop items filtered by category tags, check sales counts, ratings, and member discount pricing.
Monitor membership activity and see who's active, paused, or canceled, and which tiers are performing best.
Analyse post performance across categories, visibility levels, and membership tiers to understand what content drives the most views and engagement.
Engage with your supporters by replying to messages in your recent supporters section.

An active Buy Me a Coffee creator account.
An AI tool that supports MCP (see requirements below for each).
How to connect
The Buy Me a Coffee MCP server URL is:
Authentication is handled through browser OAuth, so there's no API key or client secret to manage.
ChatGPT
Availability of custom MCP functionality depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.
ChatGPT / Codex
Open ChatGPT → Settings and go to Plugins.
Click Add → Add MCP Server and name it Buy Me a Coffee.
Change the type to Streamable HTTP and paste https://mcp.buymeacoffee.com/connect in the URL field.
Click Save, then click Authenticate and authorise access on the Buy Me a Coffee sign-in page.
ChatGPT Classic
External MCP connections are not supported in the Classic app. To connect and use custom MCP apps, use the supported ChatGPT web experience and go to Settings → Plugins to enable Developer Mode.
In ChatGPT, click your profile in the bottom left and choose Settings.
Go to Plugins and and click the + icon. A modal will appear and in the name field, enter Buy Me a Coffee and in the connection field, paste https://mcp.buymeacoffee.com/connect. Click Create.
Click Sign in with Buy Me a Coffee and authorise access on the sign-in page.
Claude
Custom connectors are available on Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans (not the free plan) on web and desktop apps. On Team or Enterprise, you may need a workspace admin to approve custom connectors.
Open Claude and go to Customize → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
Enter Buy Me a Coffee in the name field and paste https://mcp.buymeacoffee.com/connect in the MCP URL field.
Click Add. Buy Me a Coffee will appear in your connected list.
Click Connect and authorise access on the Buy Me a Coffee sign in page.
You will be redirected back to Claude. Start a new chat and ask Claude anything about your Buy Me a Coffee account. Once connected via web or desktop, you can also use it from the Claude mobile app.
Other AI Tools
You can connect manually using https://mcp.buymeacoffee.com/connect as a custom MCP server URL in any AI tool that supports:
MCP client protocol using Streamable HTTP transport
OAuth 2.0 authentication : the server uses browser-based OAuth, so your tool needs to open a browser window for sign in
If your tool asks for a client ID or client secret, leave those fields blank. Buy Me a Coffee MCP uses Dynamic Client Registration, so credentials are handled automatically.
